Stream The New Porographers New Album ‘Brill Bruisers’

Canadian indie pop legends The New Pornographers are soon releasing their first album in four years. It’s entitled Brill Bruisers. We’ve already heard the fantastic new tracks “Brill Bruisers” and “War On The East Coast”, but now you can stream the album in its entirety over at iTunes Radio.

Brill Bruisers is out August 25th on Matador.

Listen: TOPS – “Outside”

TOPS are a band that I only recently became aware of with their single “Way To Be Loved” that they released a couple weeks back. That single comes from their upcoming album Picture You Dancing, as well as our most recent peek at the album, a track called “Outside”. It’s slow paced and lush and we’re hoping this is what the entire album sounds like. Listen below and pre-order Picture You Dancing which comes out September 2nd via Arbutus Records.

Listen: Field Report – “Home (Leave The Light On)”

“Home (Leave The Lights On)” is an upbeat, radio friendly indie rock tune. That’s why it’s not surprising that the song was originally written for a commercial, but was rejected for being too sad. It is surprising that they rejected it for being too sad though, because the song is actually rather optimistic. Field Report’s new album, Marigolden comes out October 7th via Partisan Records. Listen below.

Listen: She Keeps Bees – “Owl”

The Brooklyn duo She Keeps Bees are really good at creating nearly flawless indie folk tunes, and the new tune “Owl” featuring back up vocals from Sharon Van Etten is just that. It’s slow, with a drum beat like a heartbeat, and lush horns hear and there. It’s the kind of song that effectively inserts an image in your head. She Keeps Bees new album Eight Houses is out September 16th via Future Gods. Listen Below.

Listen: Nude Beach – “For You”

Nude Beach are a fun, poppy rock band. It’s almost impossible not to like them. They have a new LP entitled 77 coming out soon, and “For You” is the second single from the album, following “I Can’t Keep Tears From Falling”. “For You” is a bit less classic rock inspired than “I Can’t Keep Tears From Falling” but it’s still  perfectly solid rock n’ roll. 77 comes out October 24th via Don Giovanni. Listen below.

Listen: My Brightest Diamond – “Lover/Killer”

My Brightest Diamond have a very unique sound. Between the experimental percussion and the dark synths, they’re certainly doing something special. The new album This Is My Hand comes out soon and we’ve already heard “Pressure”. Now we get another peek at the album with the track “Lover/Killer”. This tune is slower and less abrasive than “Pressure” but it features some very smooth brass, and of course Shara Worden’s lovely voice. This Is My Hand is out September 16th via Asthmatic Kitty. Listen below.
