Last year, Ex Cops released their debut album True Hallucinations, which was a delightful, jangly indie pop record. But today, the band has announced the follow up. Entitled Daggers. Surprisingly the album was executive produced by Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan. The album is due to hit shelves October 28th via Downtown Records.
Ex Cops have also released the first single “Black Soap”. A tune that shows a shift in their sound. Trading the jangly indie pop for blustering, atmospheric indie rock more attune to the mainstream world. Still though, this track instills the New York vibe that Ex Cops proudly exude, while also sounding totally rad and energetic. Listen below and keep a lookout for the release of Daggers.
